This evaluation describes the implementation of the 2020 pilot of UMRBA's water quality monitoring strategy for the Upper Mississippi River in Reaches 8-9, including related to the technical aspects, logistic, budget, and personnel. The effort demonstrated that the strategy can effectively produce a shared characterization of conditions across use types - e.g., aquatic life, drinking water, recreation, and fish consumption.
